The 3x is indicated in hyperacidity with frequent eructations, sour, acrid, and pyrosis.

A condition of constipation is usually present when this remedy is indicated. This is dependent upon a dryness and inactive condition of the rectum which seems as if paralyzed; there is no desire and no ability to pass the stool, till there is a large, accumulation. The stool is small and consists of small, hard balls and may be covered with mucus.

It suits old people or prematurely old people with debility.

It is also useful in profuse, acrid leucorrhoes (especially the 6x).

In varying potencies, the product is used for thick yellow mucus and scabs in the nose, dry sore throat, abdominal colic pressing in both groins, and scanty menses followed by great exhaustion.
